Southside Baptist Church Events

We are offering a Ladies Bible Study, “When You Pray” on Mondays at 2 different times (10 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.) through May. The sessions will be lead by Michelle Thompson.

Join us as we explore the different types of prayer, understand how prayer unites believers to God and others and learn how to overcome struggles that keep you from talking to God. 

Study books can be ordered at Amazon or we can order one for you for $25. 

The K.I.T. (Keep In Touch) Club for Senior Adults (50 and over) will meet on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Our theme will be “Bloom Where You are Planted”. We will be doing a “Plant/Flower Swap”.Join in the fun by bringing a plant, flower, or small arrangement. Just …“Keep it simple and from the heart–not expensive.” (It can be potted plant, fresh flowers, rooted clipping, small porch or window plant. Just simply something that is special to you)

We will be providing fried chicken for our meal. Please bring your favorite side item(s), drink and/or dessert to share.

Joey Clark from Homeward Bound will be entertaining us.

Join us on Saturday, June 13th as we explore Cloudland Canyon to view Cherokee and Hemlock Falls.  Both falls are on the same trail and will take us about 2-1/2 hours to complete.  We will descend over 600 steps to reach the bottom, about 425 feet in 1 mile.

We plan to leave the church on Saturday, June 13th at 7:00 a.m. and return by 5:30 p.m.

Join us for a refreshing time of fellowship and connection as we hike to Moss Falls at Camp Thunder in Molena, GA.  This easy, scenic walk is a great opportunity to step away from the busyness of life, enjoy the beauty of God’s creation and spend time with other women from the church and community.

All fitness levels are welcome–come as you are, bring a friend, and enjoy the journey together!

We plan to leave the church on Saturday, June 27th at 8:00 a.m. and return by 1:00 p.m.

Ladies, come join in the fun as we enjoy Christian fellowship as we are engaged in fitness and get our bodies moving.   On Thursdays, from 6 to 7 p.m., we will exercise and fellowship together.

Donations can be given toward the remodel of our Annex building.  Please be in prayer as to how much God would have you give as we remodel the building to be used by the Flint River Association as a hub of ministry and offices as well as a counseling center.  Donations can be given online and in person.
